The Email & Notifications area configures email delivery at the organization level — the SMTP setup, sender details, and notification behavior that determine how the platform’s email reaches your people.
Delivery configuration
You configure the SMTP connection and the from sender the platform uses, and you can send a test to confirm delivery works before relying on it. Getting this right is what allows every notification — approval prompts, reminders, alerts — to actually arrive. You can enable email and apply rate limiting so a burst of activity doesn’t flood inboxes or trip your mail provider’s limits.
Templates
Notification templates govern what the emails look like, so messages from the platform are consistent and recognizably yours. Defining these at the organization level keeps the experience uniform across everyone who receives them.
Identity level and in-product settings
This identity-level configuration is the foundation for email across the organization; the in-product Email notifications admin area and each user’s preferences operate on top of it. Together they determine what’s sent, how it looks, and who receives it — from the organization’s delivery setup down to an individual’s channel choices.
