Email notifications
Configure email delivery and the templates and events behind notification emails.
Email notifications configure how the platform sends email — the delivery setup and the templates and events that determine what notification emails look like and when they go out. This is the organization-level foundation beneath each person’s notification preferences.
Delivery setup
Email delivery is configured here, including the SMTP connection the platform uses to send mail. Getting this right is what allows any email to reach your users at all — the time-sensitive prompts, approval requests, and reminders that the Notifications section relies on.
Templates and events
You configure which events trigger an email and the templates — including the subject and content — used for each. Defining these centrally ensures notification emails are consistent and professional, and that the right events generate a message. It also lets you enable or hold particular notification types organization-wide.
Org settings and personal preferences together
This area sets what’s possible and what’s enabled at the organization level; individual users then tune what reaches them within those bounds, as described in Email & preferences. The sender identity — the from name and address email is sent under — is set in System settings.
