Activate your TraceUnified license, track seats and usage against your allocation, and keep a clear account of your licensing over time.
License management is where your TraceUnified license is activated and tracked — how many people can use the platform and under what entitlement, so your usage is always visible against what you’re licensed for. For the reference, see License management.
Activate your license
A license is activated with a key; until one is in place, the area indicates as much.
Before you start Open Administration and go to License management. You'll need administrator access and your license key.
- Activate the license with your license key.
- Confirm the active license and its details, including when it expires — so renewal never arrives as a surprise.
Result An active license with its entitlement and expiry in plain view. See License management.
Track seats and usage
Licensing is organized around seats, and the view shows how many are in use against your allocation.
- Review your seat usage — how many seats are in use against what you're allocated.
- Account for seat types, since different types can carry different entitlements.
- Add capacity before you run out, rather than discovering the limit at the moment someone can't be added.
Result A clear picture of capacity, with room to plan ahead instead of reacting to a wall.
Review the license history
A record of licensing over time is kept, so the account of what’s been activated is there when you need it.

Note Treat seats and expiry as something to watch rather than react to. Adding capacity or renewing ahead of the limit avoids the two worst moments — a teammate who can't be added when the work needs them, and access that lapses in the middle of a project.
