Review center

Set the defaults and templates that shape how reviews run across your projects.

Review center settings configure how reviews run before anyone starts one. Defining defaults and templates here means a review is set up correctly and consistently each time, rather than reconfigured from scratch by whoever creates it.

Defaults and templates

You can define default reviewers, set review criteria, and choose the review types available, along with whether reviewers are notified and whether all reviewers are required to respond. Saved as review templates, these settings let a common kind of review — a peer review of requirements, an approval review before release — be launched in a consistent, pre-configured form rather than assembled by hand.

Why configure reviews centrally

Reviews are a compliance-relevant control, so how they’re run shouldn’t vary by who sets them up. Configuring the defaults centrally ensures the right people are involved, the right criteria are applied, and the necessary participation rules hold — consistently across projects. It’s the difference between a governed review process and ad-hoc reviews of varying rigor.

Where reviews are run

Creating and participating in reviews — the wizard, voting, requesting changes, and tracking status — is covered from the user’s side in the Reviews section. This area sets the defaults that the review process draws on.
