License management

Activate your license and track seats and usage.

License management is where your TraceUnified license is activated and tracked. It governs how many people can use the platform and under what entitlement, so you can see your usage against what you’re licensed for.

Activating a license

A license is activated with a license key. Once activated, this area shows the active license and its details, including when it expires, so renewal never comes as a surprise. Until a license is activated, the area indicates that none is in place.

Seats and usage

Licensing is organized around seats, and different seat types can carry different entitlements. The view shows your seat usage, so you can see how many seats are in use against your allocation and plan accordingly — adding capacity before you run out rather than discovering the limit when someone can’t be added.

License history

A record of licensing over time is kept, so you can see the history of what’s been activated. For a regulated organization, having a clear account of your licensing posture is part of keeping the house in order.

License management at the tenant level may also be surfaced in the Identity Portal, which administers organization-level identity and entitlements. Within the application, this is where licensing is viewed and activated.
